The founder and principal of LNS Consulting Services in Minnesota, Lu Ann Sidney possesses more than two decades of experience in chemical and materials development and consultation. Lu Ann Sidney owns a Norwich terrier, a breed of dog that received official recognition from the American Kennel Club in 1936.
The breed originated in the town of Norwich in late-19th-century East Anglia. Breeders at the time mixed various other terrier breeds with the intention of creating a small, predominantly red hunting companion with a friendly temperament. Their efforts produced a compact and sturdy dog with the ability to hunt small mammals and a friendliness that makes it a popular family pet in today’s society.
One of the smallest breeds of working terriers, the Norwich possesses an eager working disposition despite its small stature. Norwich terriers tend to be affectionate and loyal, leading them to become demanding of human attention. They get along well with children and other animals with the proper training and supervision. Their cleverness also makes them relatively easy to train, and many will offer numerous desired behaviors in exchange for treats.
