The Kilauea Lighthouse is located on a high cliff in the Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge on the north shore of Kauai. The lighthouse has been recently restored to celebrate its centennial in 2013. Along the cliffs, you can see frigatebirds, red-footed boobies, and wedgetail shearwaters. Nene are everywhere, especially in the parking lots. I was pleasantly surprised to see an albatross sitting by the gift shop. What a huge bird!
