Junglefowl Galore on Kauai

Ever since Hurricane Iniki in September 1992 let loose the chickens on Kauai, there has been a steady increase in their numbers.  They are everywhere – by the highways, in the parking lots, on hotel grounds, and in the parks.  We found the most impressive roosters at the Kokee Lodge up the Waimea Canyon road.  Bring a jacket, even though it might be warm elsewhere, because it is usually misty and cool at the top of the canyon.  These roosters like to be photographed or at least that is what it seems like!
